EXQUISITE SPANISH WINES TO ENJOY IN YOUR NEW HOME May 21, 2019

Spanish wine, has among many connoisseur's, not received as much praise as it deserves. In one way, that is to our advantage. In the Costa Blanca region between Alicante and Valencia, we have a big number of vineyards, bodegas and producers that are more than happy to invite YOU to experience their trade. A bit further up, close to Valencia, we have Requena, the largest wine region in Valencia, located close to the towns Utiel and Requena. Here they have been producing exceptional wines for over 2,500 years within the fantastic mountain landscape.

We also have Clarino; Red wines from the Monastrell, Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot grape varieties are the specialty here.

Most vineyards are located inland from the city and spread north and west into the foothills of the Sistema Ibérico mountain range.

South of Valencia, we have Alicante which is a big wine producing region since a long time back.

The wines produced here are in high demand both abroad and within Spain. Common grapes in this area are; Monastrell, Alicante Bouschet, Bobal and Moscatel de Alejandria.

Living on the Marina Alta means that within approx an hour, you can either spend a day at the northern vineyards for a real hands on experience, or take the drive southwards and visit the producers close to Alicante.

Not only do many bodegas and wine manufacturers offer both public and private wine tasting events, we can also arrange guided tours, guided tasting events, with international acclaimed judges for an extraordinary evening getting to know Spanish quality wine.

4 BENEFITS OF LIVING ON THE SEASIDE April 08, 2019

As you’ve probably concluded, we’re all about the beach life. The sun, the sand, the scrumptious seafood fresh from the ocean…what`s not to love?

But seaside living does more than just put a smile on your face; it`s good for your health too!

How do we love life at the beach? Let us count the ways:

Wellness: a recent study showed that, even discounting factors like age and economics, people who live by the sea are healthier. Sea air encourages respiratory health, while sun exposure (with a healthy coating of SPF) is great for getting your daily dose of Vitamin D. Swimming in saltwater also speeds healing, boosts circulation, and encourages a good night’s sleep.

Rest and relaxation. You know that feeling of sinking into warm sand and letting your troubles wash away? It’s not all in your head. Studies show that people are less stressed when they visit the coast. Even seeing pictures of the beach can reduce stress and increase feelings of contentedness. Feeling overwhelmed? An evening stroll with your toes in the surf is just the ticket to reduce anxiety, open your mind, and encourage creative thinking.

Those soothing sea breezes. It’s not just the promise of relaxation that makes that sea breeze smell so good. The iodine, salt, and magnesium present in sea air can reduce the symptoms of asthma, promote respiratory health, improve allergies and skin problems, and stimulate the immune system. The energy to get moving.

Seaside living promotes an active lifestyle. Walking or running on the beach is an excellent way to develop calf muscles, while exploring local trails, strolling the shops, and playing water sports gives you that amazing “Wait – I worked out today?” feeling.
